Protecting the Rights of the Injured Worker

ALCORN GOERING & SAGE, LLP is proud to represent injured workers in Indiana and Kentucky. When an individual is injured on the job and in the “course and scope of their employment,” this individual has a workers compensation claim. Often times, injured workers are completely unaware of their rights and remedies under workers compensation law. Unfortunately, injured workers do not usually get much information as to their rights from the workers compensation carrier or their employer. It is often a good idea for an injured worker to contact an attorney to ask them questions about their legal rights in their workers compensation claim.

ALCORN GOERING & SAGE, LLP strives to assist the injured worker with obtaining their benefits as allowed by law. The benefits to which an injured worker is entitled in a workers compensation claim include: medical treatment, lost wages, and payment for permanent impairment that the worker may have as a result of their injuries. Additionally, some injured workers are entitled to funds for payment of future medical expenses and permanent disability benefits from the employer. Often times, workers compensation benefits go uncollected by the injured worker, primarily because the injured worker is not aware that such benefits are available.

ALCORN GOERING & SAGE, LLP handles workers compensations pursuant to Indiana and Kentucky statutes, which determine the amount of attorneys fees for these worker compensation claims. Workers compensation cases are handled on a contingency fee basis, meaning that the injured worker only pays our law firm when we collect a settlement for that injured worker. Consultations with an attorney from our office for a workers compensation claim are at no charge. Please feel free to call our office with any of your workers compensation questions that you may have.
